Vintage Fisher Price Toys!

Remember all of that Fisher Price stuff we had as kids in the 70's?
I never had this cash register with the thick coins, but I sure wanted it! All kids want to push buttons, plain and simple.

I think every 70's baby had this rattle...

 and the good old xylophone...
and every baby even TODAY has this rock stack rings thingie...the rings float in the bath!

I didn't have this apple, but lots of other kids around me did. When you shook it, there was a little bell sort of thing inside...

This thing also made some sort of wobbly bell noise if I recall correctly...

and we all know this thing sounded like a broke down ice cream man, going down our hallways...

 They re-issued this doozie...

Ohhhhh...I loved my record player! There were thick grooves in the sturdy records and they played twinkle, twinkle little star a a few other songs when you turned the nob. It was awesome!

I liked my little radio too- I had a yellow one that played "Raindrops keep Fallin' on my head" and my sister had an orange one that played "My Name is Micheal"...

And we alllll had these on our fridge, and tried to spell "pee" or "poo"...

I couldn't possibly remember back to the crib, could I? It must have been my younger sister who had this and I played with it, because I remember it very well!
I liked the little red plastic squishy button that made the bell ring, and the rabbit and the hare at the bottom...
We all had these "little people", didn't we?

Here is a half Asian family...kudos to Fisher Price for being equal opportunity with their toys...

Here is a little dude in a tractor, then the happy blonde mother, balding dad, pissed off ginger brother and doofus sister...
And if those youngin's became sick, you could plop them into the children's hospital!

They even had little wheel chairs- they were ahead of their time!

Then there were some farming folks and lots of animals...

And a school, of course! The roof opened up...

And here is a little chunk of the town...
and the family home with little beds and a table and chairs!

They even had a Sesame Street apartment block! It opened up and could be spread out!
I had to throw in Weebles (they wobble but they don't fall down), even though they are not little people. I played with these a lot too!

You can get all of this stuff on Etsy- do a search under Fisher Price Vintage- the prices are really affordable! Til next time...
